THE STORY OF 2020
A MESSAGE FROM
LIVES COMMITTED TO CHRIST IN 2020
Baptism is an outward commitment of an inward change. It’s our expression of deciding to follow Jesus.
Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
BAPTISMS IN THE LIFETIME OF CCV
Each next step taken was one of faith, trust, and movement toward Christ.
STEPS TAKEN IN 2020
PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS
Neighborhood Groups help you build a strong community, grow in your faith, and provide a sense of connection as we all tackle life together.
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
1 Corinthians 12:27
PEOPLE VOLUNTEER WEEKLY AT CCV
We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible support and dedication of our many volunteers. There is no greater way to show the love of Christ than serving others.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
When we give generously, God uses our resources to do remarkable things. We give because God asked us to, and following through shows that we trust Him.

PEOPLE COACHING OTHERS
Coaches help guide others through
their Next Steps at CCV.
And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will
also be qualified to teach others.
2 Timothy 2:2
May we remember that God can use any conversation, interaction and effort we make as a church community. And may we continually share the hope of Jesus. It might be as simple as passing along a link to our “Let’s Talk About It” series to a cousin battling depression. It might provide timely encouragement in a season of infertility. It might inspire a courageous “HELP” text that transforms a life. The hope is real, and this story is true. “CCV literally saved her life.”
3600 people and counting. We knew there was a need in the Valley, but we could never have imagined just how God would move when we launched our Press On Campaign. Firefighters heard news segments and texted in for help. Single mothers stopped staff in our parking lots, amazed that God would have such a message prepared for their first time back at church in years. Spouses had intentional conversations and raised a hand.
CCV, you helped offset the financial burden of Christian counseling for so many in the Valley battling mental health. But more than that, you reminded so many that Jesus sees them, comes alongside them, and offers the best help this world will ever know. There are many in our midst who might not be here today had you not responded to a Valley in need of hope.

We are one church, in many locations. Each week, across the valley, we join together to celebrate and worship God in fellowship and community with others.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
CHANGING LIVES NEAR & FAR
With the introduction of COVID, so too came the phrase “social distancing”. It was woven into the public lexicon, and it shaped how the vast majority of people had to navigate relationships and the weight of isolation. We preferred the phrase “physical distancing” because the reality of God’s people is that they find a way to remain connected and intentional. They create online neighborhood groups.
They share in fellowship across screens when they have to. They find a way to lean into faith no matter the obstacle. And that’s why many lives were transformed in 2020 despite the challenges. Online services flowed into online CCV communities and even backyard baptisms that change lives forever.
AVERAGE WEEKLY ATTENDANCE
CCV is committed to stewarding resources in a way that honors God, and strategically wins the Valley for Christ. We commit 11% of our yearly budget toward missions and benevolence. 30% goes toward campus expansion and future growth. The remainder of our budget goes to support all of our adults, kids, and students ministries. We manage our finances with a deep understanding that every dollar can further the kingdom.
